29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer did not conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirement of this standard were being followed: a) Production Floor; On or about May 17, 2017 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to potential hazardous energies in that the employer failed to conduct the required periodic inspection of the energy control procedures for machinery with multiple energy sources which includes but is not limited to Blower #1, #2, #3, and #4. Employees were required to work on these machines with procedures that had not been audited periodically as required by the standard so that any deviations or inadequacies would be discovered and corrected.

Hyundai Polytech America, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.147(f)(3)(ii)(D), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1001277, citation number 1, item number 1c and was affirmed as a final order on December 10, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 112 Lakepoint Industrial Park Road, Eufaula AL.
