29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). On or about June 20, 2017, at the above addressed jobsite, employees were installing a sewer line while working in a trench that was over 5 feet in depth. The trench did not have cave in protection, resulting in the trench caving in on employees. Corrected during inspection no abatement is required.
