29 CFR 1910.141(a)(3)(i): Places of employment were not kept clean to the extent that the nature of the work allowed: (a) On or about October 31, 2017, at work site at 66-67 69th Street, Middle Village, NY 11379 The floor, chairs, lockers and other surfaces of the locker room used by employees for changing into street clothes were not adequately cleaned to maintain the levels of settled metal particulates including transported in from the work shop as low as possible. (b) On or about October 31, 2017, at work site at 66-67 69th Street, Middle Village, NY 11379 Employees used the same lockers for storage of the clothing and footwear they wore during welding and grinding and the clothing and footwear they wore to and from work. This condition could expose the clothing and footwear worn to and from their homes to cross-contamination with metals from the welding and grinding processes, including hexavalent chromium. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 193.19
