29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: At the jobsite located at 7504 Delmar St., Prairie Village, Kansas 66208: Employee engaged in general construction activities walked and worked from a deck in the back of the house was exposed to fall hazards of approximately 8 feet from the edge of the deck to the mud below in that fall protection was not utilized. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(2) abatement of the above violation was verified at time of inspection, no certification is required.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not train each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards to enable them to recognize fall hazards and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: At the jobsite located at 7504 Delmar St., Prairie Village, Kansas 66208: Employee engaged in general construction activities walked and worked from a deck in the back of the house was exposed to fall hazards of approximately 8 feet from the edge of the deck to the mud below in that training to recognize and to minimize the hazard of falling was not provided. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
