29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  a- 59 Allen Lane, Lawrenceville NJ: Company employees were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 27 feet to the ground surface below, when performing interior sheathing installation and other related activities while at unprotected edges without the use of fall protection.  These employees had not received fall hazard recognition and minimization training from the company.  Condition noted on or about 10/03/17.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a- 59 Allen Lane, Lawrenceville NJ: Company employees were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 27 feet to the ground surface below, when performing interior sheathing installation and other related activities while at unprotected edges without the use of fall protection.  Condition noted on or about 10/03/17.  Express Construction 4, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1196762, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/25/17, with respect to a workplace located at Quick Chek store/intersection of Ridgedale Avenue & Hanover Avenue, Cedar Knolls NJ.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
