29 CFR 1926.850(c): All electric, gas, water, steam, sewer, and other service lines shall be shut off, capped, or otherwise controlled, outside the building line before demolition work is started. In each case, any utility company which is involved shall be notified in advance. Location: Jobsite On two different instances employees were exposed to electrical hazards and natural gas explosion hazards while working in a residential structure where utilities had not been disconnected or capped, also utility companies had not been notified. Instance 1) Novembers 8th 2017 Employees were exposed to hazards associated with conducting demolition work while electrical and natural gas utilities had not been disconnected. Instance 2) November 13th 2017 Employees were exposed to electrical hazards while continuing with demolition work and removing the structures electrical wiring with notifying the utility company or having the service cut and capped.
