29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):   "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  On or about 11/29/2017, employees from Blondin Construction, LLC were building an exterior wall for the front of a residential building located on lot 2276 Alpine View Drive in Wright City, MO.  Two employees were building the wall on top of the floor over a stairway opening, which was approximately 10 x 8.  As an employee attempted to knock out the sheathing covering the window in the wall, he fell through the window and floor opening, falling approximately eleven feet to the lower level.  The employees were not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.
