29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse: On or about March 19, 2018, employees and a subcontractor employee were exposed to being struck by steel pipes stored in two tiers on a flatbed trailer. Following placement of the materials on the trailer by employees in the storage yard and while the subcontractor employee was removing binding chains used for transport of the load at a scrap yard, the upper tier pipes were not chocked or otherwise secured to prevent rolling off of the trailer.
