29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six (6) or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest system. On or about June 5, 2018, employees were allowed to work from a walking/working surface where there was no guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system in use. This exposed employees to a fall greater than six (6) feet to the ground below.
