29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. a. On or about September 12, 2018, at the above referenced inspection site, employees performing roofing operations were not protected from falls. The employer failed to ensure employees utilized an effective means of fall protection. Employees were thereby exposed to falls of approximately 9 feet. There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
