29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. On or about February 21, 2019, Employees performing siding activities were exposed to fall hazards on a residential construction site in Champaign, Illinois, and the employer did not ensure an adequate fall protection system was being used. a. Employees were setting trusses were exposed to a fall hazard because the employer did not ensure employees were tied off. b. Employees were on the balcony with open sides exposed to a fall hazard because the employer did not ensure guardrails were installed along all open sides and ends of the working surface.
