29 CFR 1926.300(b)(1): Power operated tools that were designed to accommodate guards were not equipped with the guards when they were in use, to protect the operator and employees nearby from hazards such as ingoing nip point, rotating parts, flying chips, or sparks:     a)  Employee was exposed to laceration hazard when using the Makita grinder model 9557N without a guard on the 4 inch disk.   Location: 1227 47th St, Brooklyn NY    On or about 3/12/2019    NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASEFILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION NOR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.304(i)(1):  Each circular hand-fed ripsaw was not guarded by a hood that which shall completely enclose that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut:     a) Employees were exposed to laceration/ amputation hazard using table saws that did not have blade guards (hoods) to cover the portion of the blade exposed above the Ryobi Tablesaw.
