Employees were exposed to the hazards of eye injury from flying objects.

29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns:    A)     Precision Cut Carpentry, LLC, conducting work 889 Danton Court, Waterville, OH 43566: On or about April 17, 2019, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from head injury hazards by protective hard hats while working below employees who were conducting framing work above. Employees were exposed to potential impact injuries caused by falling materials and/or equipment.      Precision Cut Carpentry, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard (29 CFR 1926.100(a)), which was contained in OSHA Inspection # 1219150, Citation number 1, Item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 07/17/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 7604 Shoemaker Drive, Waterville, OH 43566.

Employees were exposed to approximately 20 feet fall hazard from the roof of the structure to the ground below.       Precision Cut Carpentry, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard (29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13)), which was contained in OSHA Inspection # 1219150, Citation number 1, Item number 1C, and was affirmed as a final order on 07/17/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 7604 Shoemaker Drive, Waterville, OH 43566.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:     A)     Precision Cut Carpentry, LLC, conducting work 889 Danton Court, Waterville, OH 43566: On or about April 17, 2019, the employer did not ensure that employees were adequately trained in the appropriate use of fall protection such as, but not limited to, the use of personal fall arrest systems, or alternative measures of fall protection while conducting wood framing activities atop the two story residential structure. Employees did not use fall protection and were exposed to approximately 20 feet fall hazard from the roof of the structure to the ground below.       Precision Cut Carpentry, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard (29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1)), which was contained in OSHA Inspection # 1219150, Citation number 1, Item number 1B, and was affirmed as a final order on 07/17/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 7604 Shoemaker Drive, Waterville, OH 43566.
