(a) Creekside at Vinings  1313 Creekside Pl SE front roof: Employees were exposed to fall hazards in that the employer allowed employees to use a Tranzsporter (LH200) platform hoist section to be used as a ladder to acess the upper roof when the general safety instructions state that this hoist should never be used as a ladder.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.      (a) Creekside at Vinings  1313 Creekside Pl SE roofs: On or about 08/29/2019 the company exposed employees to fall hazards of 24 feet to the ground below by having employees access a roof 24 feet above ground level from a Werner Aluminum Extension ladder that only extended 1.5 feet above the landing and was not fastened at the top to prevent tipping.
