29 CFR 1926.552(a)(1): The employer shall comply with the manufacturer's specifications and limitations applicable to the operation of all hoists and elevators. Where manufacturer's specifications are not available, the limitations assigned to the equipment shall be based on the determinations of a professional engineer competent in the field.    (a) Creekside at Vinings  1313 Creekside Pl SE front roof: Employees were exposed to fall hazards in that the employer allowed employees to use a Tranzsporter (LH200) platform hoist section to be used as a ladder to acess the upper roof when the general safety instructions state that this hoist should never be used as a ladder.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.      (a) Creekside at Vinings  1313 Creekside Pl SE roofs: On or about 08/29/2019 the company exposed employees to fall hazards of 24 feet to the ground below by having employees access a roof 24 feet above ground level from a Werner Aluminum Extension ladder that only extended 1.5 feet above the landing and was not fastened at the top to prevent tipping.
