29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a)On or about October 8, 2019;  on the south side of the worksite, employees were utilizing pneumatic nail guns to install top plates of a residential house frame without the use of eye protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) On or about October 8, 2019; employees were allowed to walk on 2x4 top plate of a residential construction frame to install framing at a height of 11 feet without the use of fall protection systems.
