On or about October 3, 2019, at Lot 27, 601 Greenbow Lane, Canton, Georgia:  An employee performing roofing work was exposed to struck-by hazards from falling asphalt shingle bundles when he operated a Tranzporter Platform Hoist using a fiber rope instead of the wire rope recommended by the manufacturer.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury:  On or about October 3, 2019, at Lot 27, 601 Greenbow Lane, Canton, Georgia:  Employees performing roofing work were exposed to struck-by hazards from nails and wood chips while operating nail guns without wearing eye protection.   Lopez Roofing Services, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number  1373287, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on February 27, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at Powder Springs, Georgia.
