OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees worked within the danger zone of material handlers. (a) Colliers Scrap Yard - On or about 11/8/2019, employees were working within the swing radius of a Liebherr A924C material handler while a load was being lifted, exposing employees to struck-by hazards. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means to abate the hazardous condition include: Keeping personnel clear of danger zones of the machine per the operator's manual.
