29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes.  Location: 8671 18th Ave Brooklyn, NY.  Meat department.  On or about 12/24/19  a) An employee was injured while using a knife during meat cutting and trimming operations in the meat department of the supermarket.  The employee did not have hand protection for his left hand while using the knife in his right hand leading to a laceration in his left risk.
