1910.28(b)(1)(i): Except as provided elsewhere in this section, the employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the methods listed in (b)(1)(i)(A), (b)(1)(i)(B), and (b)(1)(i)(C) of this standard:       Facility: The employees walking and/or working in close proximity of the compactor were not protected from the hazards of falling into the compactor by the use of appropriate types of fall protection means.
