29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  A) On or about September 23, 2020 the Marvel horizontal band saw located in the machine shop was missing a cover on the auger portion of the machine.   B) On or about September 23, 2020 the Kalamazoo belt sander located in the machine shop was missing guarding on the bottom portion of the belt in the area of the drive wheel.   C) On or about September 23, 2020 the Harrison horizontal lathe located in the machine shop was missing adequate guarding of the chuck.  D) On or about September 23, 2020 the Royal horizontal lathe located in the machine shop was missing adequate guarding of the chuck and the lead screw.   E) On or about September 23, 2020 the Clausing horizontal lathe located in the machine shop was missing adequate guarding of the chuck.   F) On or about September 23, 2020 the Haas mill VF-8/40, CNC Mill 2, was missing guarding of the chip auger. The chip auger was noted to operate while the CNC doors were open.

29 CFR 1910.212(b): Machine(s) designed for fixed location(s) were not securely anchored to prevent walking or moving:  On or about September 23, 2020 the Jet Drill Press located in the machine shop was not anchored to the floor.
