Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system  (a) West side of roof, located on the townhome east of Community Lane, on or about 1-15-21: One employee was working on a roof (6:12 pitch) and was not protected from falls, exposing the employee to a fall hazard of 20 feet to the ground below.

29 CFR  1926.21(b)(2):The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury.  (a) West side of townhome roof,  located east of Community Lane, on or about 1-15-21: One employee was working on a roof (6:12 pitch) and was not protected from falls, exposing the employee to a fall hazard of 20 feet to the ground below. Mr. Lavey admitted that he did not instruct his workers to utilize or implement fall protection methods to eliminate falling hazards.
