29 CFR  1910.101(b):"Compressed gases." The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks shall be in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6.  a) Organics Lab (back loading dock): On or about March 8, 2021, Helium, Hydrogen, and Nitrogen compressed gas cylinders stored by the back door and near the chemical fume hood were not secured.

29 CFR  1910.151(c):Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  a) Metals laboratory:  On or about March 8, 2021, the employer did not provide employees with an emergency eye wash station with fifteen minutes of continuous flush where corrosive materials such as, but not limited to, nitric acid and hydrochloric acid were used.  b) Microbiology laboratory: On or about March 8, 2021, the employer did not provide employees with an emergency eye wash station with fifteen minutes of continuous flush where corrosive materials such as, but not limited to, sodium hydroxide were used.  c) Organics laboratory (back loading dock) : On or about March 8, 2021, the employer did not provide employees with an emergency eye wash station with fifteen minutes of continuous flush  where corrosive materials such as, but not limited to, sulfuric acid were used.  d) Wet Chemistry Laboratory: On or about March 8, 2021, the employer did not provide employees with an emergency eye wash station with fifteen minutes of continuous flush where corrosive materials such as, but not limited to, nitric acid and hydrochloric acid were used.  e) Throughout lab: On or about March 8, 2021, a chemical safety shower for flushing the body was not installed or available for immediate emergency use where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials such as, but not limited to, sodium hydroxide, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid.
