29 CFR  1926.652(a)(1):Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c) of this section:  At a commercial  worksite , at a jobsite located near 3401 Main Street Kansas City, MO , an  employee was exposed to highly-potential " struck by" and/or trench collapse hazards working inside a trench where no protective systems were in place to protect  from water saturation. The employer failed to enforce the use of required  protective systems prior to and during the work being done  that would have greatly reduced the  employee exposure risk to severe bodily injuries and in more serious cases death.
