29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a) 1201 Wilson Avenue Bristol, PA: On or about September 9, 2021, an employee was exposed to eye and face hazards from flying particles when the employer failed to ensure the employee used appropriate eye or face protection when operating a power-operated hand tool. The employee was located in a room on the second floor of the building using the tool to make modifications to drywall surrounding a Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner (PTAC) wall sleeve.
