29 CFR  1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  (a) On or about October 5, 2021, employees working in the facility did not have immediate access to the eye wash and shower station due to a pallet of materials being placed in front of the station.

29 CFR  1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:  (a) On or about October 5, 2021, employees engaged in molded pulp paper  products manufacturing, were exposed to hazardous materials, such as but not limited to, LP propane, paints, and lubricants. The employer had not  updated the Hazard Communication  program to the Globally Harmonized System  (GHS) requirements, which would address labeling and other forms of warnings on hazardous material containers, Safety Data Sheets, and employee information and training on the hazards associated with the hazardous materials utilized on site, and is consistent with the GHS (29 CFR 191200(a)(1)).  The written program must also contain the following: 1. A list of all hazardous materials on site; 2. The methods the employer will use to inform employees of the hazards associated with non-routine tasks involving hazardous materials, such as spills; 3. The hazards of the materials contained in piping that is not labeled, and; 4. The method the employer will use to inform other employers (contractors) of the chemicals their employees might be exposed to while performing duties at the site.
