The employer is failing to protect employees from eye and face hazards.  This was most recently documented on or about January 11th, 2022, in Gretna, Nebraska.  An employee was engaged in residential siding activities and was observed operating a skill saw without eye protection.

The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards.  This was most recently documented on or about January 11th, 2022, in Gretna, Nebraska, 68028.  An employee was observed working on a residential structure conducting siding operations. The exposed employee was working on the roof at heights greater than 11ft without using any form of fall protection.

The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.  The employer is failing to protect employees from potential fall hazards. This was most recently documented on January 11th, 2022 in Gretna, Nebraska, 68022. The employer is not providing his employees training for the potential fall hazards they encounter.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed.  The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards.  This was most recently documented on or about January 11th, 2022, in Gretna, Nebraska, 68028.  An employee was observed conducting siding operations on the roof of a residential structure.  The extension ladder that was used in this particular scenario was used for access and egress to the lower level of the roof - The extension ladder did not extend at least 3ft above the surface being accessed.
