29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a- 900 Route 73 North, Worksite Plans A700, Marlton NJ: A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 24 feet 3 inches to the ground surface below, when walking/working at and near the unprotected edges of a commercial structure's low pitched roof while wearing a full body harness that was not attached to an anchor point. Condition observed on or about 01/26/22.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder. a- 900 Route 73 North, Worksite Plans A700, Marlton NJ: A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 24 feet 3 inches to the ground surface below, when accessing and egressing an uppder landing surface from a portable ladder whose side rails did not extend at least three feet above the surface being accessed. Condition observed on or about 01/26/22.
