29 CFR  1926.1153(i)(1): The employer did not include respirable crystalline silica in the program established to comply with the hazard communication standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200).  The employer shall ensure that each employee has access to labels on containers of crystalline silica and safety data sheets, and is trained in accordance with the provisions of HCS and paragraph (i)(2) of this section. The employer shall ensure that at least the following hazards are addressed: Cancer, lung effects, immune system effects, and kidney effects.:  (a) On or around 23 Feb 2022, At a jobsite located at 17730 Stubbs Station Rd, Platte City, MO; employees were exposed to silica hazards, when cutting limestone rock, which can produce silica dust which is known to cause lung diseases and cancer when inhaled. The employer did not develop a written hazard communication program that includes respirable crystalline silica.
