29 CFR 1910.178(n)(4): Powered industrial truck drivers were not required to slow down and sound the horn at cross aisles and other locations where vision is obstructed and where the load being carried obstructed forward view, the driver was not required to travel with the load trailing. (a) Worksite, L&W facility, yard area: On or about April 25, 2022, an operator of the Hyster H80-120FT counterbalance forklift was not required to sound the horn in locations where vision was obstructed, in this instance the driver's vision was obstructed while carrying stacks of drywall. (b) Worksite, L&W facility, yard area: On or about April 25, 2022, an operator of the Hyster H80-120FT counterbalance forklift was not required to travel with the load trailing when the load carried obstructed forward view in this instance the driver's forward view was obstructed while carrying stacks of drywall.
