29 CFR  1910.36(d)(1):  Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge:  a)   Lachmiller Electric Motor Service Co. On or about May 23, 2022, at the address of 5115 Lewis Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43612, the employer did not ensure that the exit route door at the northwest corner of the repair shop locks only from the outside. Failure to have such a locking device installed on each exit door can limit employee(s) ability to escape the facility in the event of an emergency, potentially exposing them to fire hazards.

On or about May 23, 2022, at the address of 5115 Lewis Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43612, the employer did not ensure that the exit route door at the northwest corner of the repair shop was clearly visible. Failure to maintain clearly marked exit doors will limit employee(s) ability to escape the facility in the event of an emergency.

29 CFR  1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment:  a)	Lachmiller Electric Motor Sales & Service. On or about May 23, 2022, at the address of 5115 Lewis Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43612, the employer did not ensure sufficient access and working space was provided to electrical panels located in the rear right corner of the repair shop. Failure to maintain adequate working space around electrical panels can limit the ability to shut off power in the event of an emergency.
