29 CFR 1926.451(c)(3): Supported scaffold poles, legs, post, frames, and/or uprights were not plumb and braced to prevent swaying and displacement: a- 1 F & 3 F Parsons Boulevard, Edgewater Park NJ - A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 17 feet 4 inches to the ground surface below, when performing siding installation and other related activities from a pump jack scaffold whose posts/legs were not plumb and braced to prevent swaying and displacement. Condition observed on or about 06/03/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(i): Guardrail systems were not installed along all open sides and ends of platforms. a- 1 F & 3F Parsons Boulevard, Edgewater Park NJ - A worker was exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 17 feet 4 inches to the ground surface below, when performing siding installation and other related activities from a pump jack scaffold that did not contain a screen that ran the full length of its active walking and working surface and was missing end stops. Condition observed on or about 06/03/22. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
