29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1):Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge. a) Warehouse-On or about November 21, 2022, an exit door, designated as a fire exit, was locked and maintained in a lock position with a padlock placed on the door. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF COR RECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3):Exit routes were not free and/or unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp were not provided where the exit route was not substantially level. a)Warehouse- On November 21,2022, the employer did not ensure that all exit doors were kept free and unobstructed. The exit route in the warehouse was obstructed by empty buckets of cleaning and roofing material. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF COR RECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
