Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.    38-52 Front Street, Chicopee, MA., On or about January 19, 2023: employee(s) were observed working on a residential structure engaged in framing activities with unprotected sides and edges greater than 18 feet above the next lower and were not protected by either guard rails, safety net systems or personal fall arrest systems exposing them to fall from height hazards.

29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.  38-52 Front Street, Chicopee, MA., On or about January 19, 2023: employee(s) were exposed to fall hazards are part of their assigned duties and the employer had not trained them prior to exposure to these hazards in topics such as but not limited to recognition of fall hazards, dangers of fall hazards and procedures each employee must take to prevent or minimize risk of such exposures.
