The employee worked from the block wall at heights of approximately 10 feet.   Violation observed 10/18/2022

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  a. 606 Freeman Street, Orange, NJ  An employee engaged in sheathing activities used an extension ladder to access a work platform on a residential building,  at a height approximately 10 feet, without extending  the ladder at least 3 feet above the landing surface.   Violation observed 10/18/2022.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(22): Employees using ladders were carrying objects or loads that could cause the employee to lose balance and fall:  a. 606 Freeman Street, Orange, NJ  Employees engaged in residential construction activities carried loads (sheathing panels) over the shoulder while climbing extension ladders which could cause employees to lose balance and fall.  Violation observed 10/18/2022
