29 CFR 1926.651(i)(3): Sidewalks, pavements, and appurtenant structure shall not be undermined unless a support system or another method of protection is provided to protect employees from the possible collapse of such structures: (a) On or about May 24th, 2023, for an employee exposed to possible collapse of an adjacent undermined sidewalk while attempting to locate a pipe as deep as five feet without without support or protective systems in place at or near 215 East Milwaukee Street in Janesville, WI.
