On or about May 30, 2023, employees follow the energy control procedures while performing servicing and maintenance activities on equipment including, but not limited to lathes and mills having multiple energy sources (electric and pneumatic). The employer did not perform periodic inspections of the energy control procedures at least annually, as required, to ensure that procedures and requirement of the standard were being followed.

The employer did not ensure the work rest was adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one-eighth inch. b) JH Robotics, Inc., 109 Main Street, Johnson City, NY - Downstairs Machining Area. On or about May 30, 2023, employees were using a General Electric Bench Grinder to sharpen and deburr metal without a work rest and an opening in excess of one inch away from the wheel. The employer did not ensure the work rest was adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximus opening of one-eighth inch.

On or about May 30, 2023, employee were using a General Electric Bench Grinder to sharpen and deburr metal without a tongue guard. The employer did not ensure the bench grinder was equipped with a tongue guard to protect the operator from being struck-by abrasive parts should the grinding wheel disintegrate during operation. b) JH Robotics Inc.,, 109 Main Street, Johnson City, NY - Downstairs Machining Area. On or about May 30, 2023, employees were using a Dewalt Bench Grinder to sharpen and deburr metal with a tongue guard that was approximately 3/4 inch away from the wheel. The employer did not ensure the distance between the abrasive wheel and the adjustable tongue did not exceed one-fourth inch to protect the operator from being struck-by abrasive parts should the grinding wheel disintegrate during operation. c) JH Robotics, Inc., 109 Main Street, Johnson City, NY - Downstairs Machining Area.
