29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1):"Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) Jobsite: 2327 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19149 - On or about June 5, 2023, the employer did not ensure employees conducting roofing activities from the roof of a commercial building, approximately 18 feet above the ground level, were protected from falls by the use of a fall protection system.  The employer was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1645433, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 5/8/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 641 Sunrise Blvd, Lehigh Acres, FL 33971.
