29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite-specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator-use: (Construction Reference 1926.103) At the commercial worksite located at 111 S Clay Street, Marshfield Missouri 65706: Employees were exposed to toxic or hazardous substances in the form of respirable crystalline silica dust by inhalation, and skin contact. The employer did not develop and implement a written respiratory protection program to cover the work operations before requiring the employees to wear respirators. Employees were exposed to respirable crystalline silica dust while performing tuck-pointing operations without having a dust collector system in place. Additionally, silica dust can get on the skin, and contaminate clothing and food.
