29 CFR  1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite-specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator-use: (Construction Reference 1926.103)  At the commercial worksite located at 111 S Clay Street, Marshfield Missouri 65706: Employees were exposed to toxic or hazardous substances in the form of respirable crystalline silica dust by inhalation, and skin contact. The employer did not develop and implement a written respiratory protection program to cover the work operations before requiring the employees to wear respirators. Employees were exposed to respirable crystalline silica dust while performing tuck-pointing operations without having a dust collector system in place. Additionally, silica dust can get on the skin, and contaminate clothing and food.

At the commercial worksite located at 111 S Clay Street, Marshfield Missouri 65706: Employees were exposed to toxic or hazardous substances in the form of respirable crystalline silica dust by inhalation, and skin contact. The employer allowed employees to use the compressed air equipment for dusting off silica dust.
