29 CFR  1910.179(n)(1): Size of load. The crane shall not be loaded beyond its rated load except for test purposes as provided in paragraph (k) of this section. The crane was loaded beyond its rated load:   On or about  July 11, 2023, employees working in the Roofing Area,  were exposed to struck-by hazards when operating a crane with a jig that was overloaded.  The crane jig is rated for 500 lbs. The employees were routinely lifting and moving plywood boards that were 76' long, 2" high and 16" across. Per the employer, the longer loads weigh 753 lbs.  This weight is in excess of the capability of the jig.
