29 C.F.R .1926.21(b)(2): The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. (a) On or about 08/26/2023, at the west side of HCA Mercy hospital?s entrance, employees not involved in the lift were exposed to crush-by hazards due to lack of instruction in the recognition and avoidance of working and walking in and around the fall zone when hoisting operations were in progress.
