29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers, was not provided, used, and maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition. On or about May 3, 2024, an employee was engaged in tree removal operations that included limbing and bucking activities with the use of a Stihl chainsaw without the use of cut-resistant leg protection exposing the employee to struck-by and laceration hazards.
