OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing, or likely to cause, death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to crushed by hazards due to the unsafe operation of automotive lifts:  Service Area - Auto lifts were operated with defects in the following instances:  a) Lift #2 (SN: NC521H0010) - The overhead safety cut-off switch was not wired. Lift pads on adapters were missing. Plungers and stop were seized. b) Lift #3 (SN:  NGK18C0003) - The overhead safety cut-off switch was not wired.  Lift pads on adapters were missing. The up switch needs a protective cap to avoid inadvertent actuation.  c) Lift #4 (SN: NGK18C0001) - The overhead safety cut-off switch was not wired. Lift pads on adapters were missing  Chattley, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1732907, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 8, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 6 Topsham Fair Mall Road, Topsham, ME 04086.
