(a) In fabrication shop 2: On or about October 30, 2024, the employer exposed employees to a struck-by hazard, in that, a damaged synthetic web sling with cuts and tears was not removed from service and was used to provide support to a workpiece. Omega Steel, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or a similar standard, 1910.184(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1439873, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 14, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 3375 U.S. Highway 80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302.

(a) Outside fabrication shop 1: On or about October 30, 2024, and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to fire and explosion hazards, in that, oxygen cylinders were stored within 3.5 feet of fuel-gas cylinders in the storage racks. Omega Steel, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or an equivalent standard, 1910.253(b)(2)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1439873, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on May 14, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 3375 U.S. Highway 80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302.
