1926.20(b)(2):  The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment to be made by a competent person(s)  Location: Granite St, Braintree, MA  On December 2, 2024, at the job site, the employer did not ensure that employees using handheld power saws were protected from being exposed to silica with the use of engineering controls, work practices and/or respiratory protections.  The employer did not have an adequate program to conduct and document frequent and regular inspections of their worksites to ensure that workers were using engineering controls and work practices to reduce airborne silica.
