29 CFR  1926.304(i)(1):  Each circular hand-fed rip saw was not guarded by a hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw blade above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut: Note:  See paragraph (i)(1) of this section for additional requirements for hand-fed ripsaws.  a) Worksite: 16 Highland Avenue, Sea Cliff, NY 11579 - Employee(s) were exposed to the unguarded portion of the blade of a DEWALT Table Saw Model # DWE7491 Serial #055953 when cutting molding for installation around windows on a residential home; on or about 1/15/25.  Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):  Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502.  a) Worksite: 16 Highland Avenue, Sea Cliff, NY 11579 - An employee was installing molding around windows on the exterior of a residential home from a second-story roof ledge (soffit) and was not protected from falling approximately 15 feet to the ground below; on or about 1/15/25. 29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards:  a) Worksite: 16 Highland Avenue, Sea Cliff, NY 11579 - An employee was installing  molding around windows on the exterior of a residential home from a second-story roof ledge (soffit) approximately 15 feet above the ground below, and was not trained to recognize the hazards associated with falling and the procedures to mitigate fall hazards; on or about 1/15/25.  Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
