29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(i): The spraying operations was not designed, installed or maintained that the average air velocity over the open face of the booth (or booth cross section during spraying operations) shall be not less than 100 linear feet per minute. a) At 8 Telfair Road Savannah, GA 31415 in paint spray booth 1: On or about April 2, 2025, the employer exposed employees to fire and burn hazards in that employees were spraying flammable materials including, but not limited to, Corrosion Resistant Epoxy Primer 10P30-5, and the average air velocity in the booth was 46 feet per minute. b) At 8 Telfair Road Savannah, GA 31415 in paint spray booth 2: On or about April 2, 2025, the employer exposed employees to fire and burn hazards in that employees were spraying flammable materials including, but not limited to, Corrosion Resistant Epoxy Primer 10P30-5, and the average air velocity in the booth was 43 feet per minute.

29 CFR 1910.1026(c): Employees were exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium (VI) which exceeded 5 micrograms per cubic meter of air, as an 8-hour time-weighted average: a) At 8 Telfair Road, Savannah, GA 31415 in the paint spray area: On or about April 2, 2025, the employer exposed employees to hexavalent chromium hazards, in that an employee was priming aerospace parts and was exposed to hexavalent chromium at an 8-hour TWA of 0.0093698 mg/m3. This level exceeded the permissible exposure level (PEL) of 0.005 mg/m3 at 190% of the PEL. The exposure was derived from two samples collected for a cumulative 191 minutes. Exposure calculations included a zero increment for time not sampled. b) At 8 Telfair Road, Savannah, GA 31415 in the paint spray area: On or about April 2, 2025, the employer exposed employees to hexavalent chromium hazards, in that an employee was sanding aerospace parts and was exposed to hexavalent chromium at an 8-hour TWA of 0.0103658 mg/m3, which exceeded the OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 0.005 mg/m3 at 210% of the PEL. Precision Protective Coatings was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1026(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1735681citation number 1, item 1, and was affirmed as final order on September 30, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 8 Telfair Road Savannah, GA 31415.
