29 CFR  1910.147(c)(1):Energy control program. The employer shall establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative.  a) Production Yard On or around July 25, 2025, the employer did not establish an energy control program for equipment in the production yard, including but not limited to the Baker stationary sawmills. Consequently, employees faced crushing and amputation hazards while unjamming the machines or changing out saw blades.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
