The excavation was determined to have type "B" soil.

29 CFR 1926.651(k)(1):Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions: 7204.5 Parterre Pkwy, Brighton CO 80602 (Thornton Water Project Segment A) : On or about June 9, 2025, the employer did not ensure that a daily inspection of the excavation hole was conducted prior to employees working inside an excavation hole that was approximately 58 feet long, 33 feet wide, and had depths of 12 feet on the west end , and depths of 15 feet and 8 feet on the east end. Employees were exposed to crushing hazards while working at both ends of the excavation hole that was not equipped with adequate cave-in protection . The excavation was determined to have type "B" soil.

Employees were exposed to crushing hazards while working on both ends of the excavation near the vertical walls. The excavation was determined to have type "B" soil.
