29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(ii): Only authorized persons shall operate an aerial lift:  On or about July 8, 2025, an employee utilized an aerial lift to gain access/egress to the elevated working surface of a new construction structural steel building,. The employee was installing metal studs along the the South wall and used the aerial lift to gain access/egress from the elevated position where the employee was fastening/securing the studs. The employer did not ensure all employees using aerial lifts were protected from fall hazards greater than 21 feet by utilizing a fall protection device.
