29 CFR  1910.147(c)(1):  Energy control program. The employer did not establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative:  a)  Nelson Wire Rope 3051 Penn Street Hatfield, PA 19440:  On or about December 5, 2025 employees performing minor maintenance on machinery such as Swager presses were exposed to hazards because the employer did not establish a written energy control program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training, and periodic inspections.  No Lock-Out-Tag-Out program was in place at the time of the inspection.

29 CFR  1910.303(g)(1):  Space about electric equipment. Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment.  a)  Nelson Wire Rope 3051 Penn Street Hatfield, PA 19440:  On or about December 5, 2025 the employer did not ensure that sufficient access and working space was provided and maintained for all electrical panels.  The electrical service panels were blocked by equipment, stacked battery chargers, and a spool of wire.
